Kate Middleton noticed protestors as they booed during Trooping the Colour.

The Princess of Wales, 44, attended King Charles’ official birthday parade in London on June 13 with her husband, Prince William, and their children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8. As seen in a video shared by The Sun, the hecklers from the anti-monarchy group Republic booed as Princess Kate and her children passed by in a horse-drawn Ascot Landau carriage on the big day.

Kate gave the protestors a look as the moment unfolded, and the jeers also caught the attention of George, Charlotte and Louis.

Trooping the Colour has drawn protestors from Republic in recent years, and the demonstrators gathered along the parade route and outside Buckingham Palace on Saturday, where thousands of spectators gathered for a glimpse of the royals, the BBC reported.

The Republic protestors brought signs with their signature slogans like “Not My King and “Down with the Crown,” plus photos of the former Prince Andrew from the Epstein files.

A statement from the anti-monarchy group said the demonstration “called for Charles and William to answer questions on the Andrew scandal and for an end to the monarchy.”

King Charles’ younger brother Andrew, 66, was arrested in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, as authorities investigate a claim that he shared confidential information with the late Jeffrey Epstein while working as a trade envoy for the British government.

Andrew’s ties to Epstein, an American financier and convicted sex offender who died while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges in August 2019, set his step back from royal life in motion that November. The former Duke of York has strenuously denied any wrongdoing regarding their relationship.

In October 2025, King Charles stripped Andrew’s titles as his Epstein links came under renewed scrutiny and evicted him from his contentious Royal Lodge residence. Following Andrew’s arrest in February, the King released a statement underscoring the palace’s cooperation with authorities as the probe moved forward.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities,” the sovereign said then.

“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter,” he continued. “Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”

In May, police announced that the investigation into Andrew would assess claims of sexual misconduct.

The former Duke of York last attended Trooping the Colour in June 2019, stepping out to support Queen Elizabeth’s birthday a few months before the Epstein scandal resurged.
