Meghan Markle made a brand new TV appearance this month and she made a series of revelations about her family life. The Duchess of Sussex appeared as a guest judge on the Australian cooking show on Sunday for an immunity challenge ahead of the semi-final.
Contestants were challenged to transform a staple ingredient into a dish “fit for a duchess”. Meghan appeared alongside MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Here, the Daily Express takes a look at five of the biggest revelations about the Sussexes’ life in Montecito that Meghan made during her TV stint.

Meghan revealed that her children are not picky when it comes to food.
She said: “The kids are great eaters; we’re very lucky on that front.”
She also added that Archie and Lilibet love their brussels sprouts.
And when it comes to dessert, she revealed: “If they say, ‘Mama, can I have dessert?’ We say, ‘If you can pick it, you can have it.’ No, you can’t pick chocolate, but you can pick a nice piece of fruit.”

Prince Harry can handle a good curry
Meghan revealed that Harry can handle a “really good curry,” while he also “loves a lot of meat, potatoes, cream sauces”.
She said: “My husband, being from the UK, loves a lot of meat, potatoes, and cream sauces. As a California girl, I like grilled fish, grilled meats, and citrus. I just like using lots of really pure natural herbs and spices.
“I like heat in my food, anything with spices. He [Harry] can handle a really good curry. We just do a lot of barbecues, whatever is seasonal. The kids are great eaters, we are very lucky on that front.”

Meghan Markle doesn’t know her favourite dish to make at home
When the duchess was asked which of her favourite meals to cook at home was, she appeared to struggle to find an answer.
Chef Novelli asked Meghan: “Can I ask you please, Meghan, what is your favourite dish to cook for the family?”
Meghan did not name a single meal, saying it was a “tough question” because she has a “lot of palates to appease”.
She said: “It’s a tough one. It’s a tough one because I have a lot of palates to appease.
“My husband, being from the UK, loves a lot of meat, potatoes, cream sauce.
“California girl, I like grilled fish, grilled meats, lots of citrus. I just like using really pure, natural herbs and spices, you know, again, if you can pull fresh ‘ erbs like, do you say ‘ erbs or herbs here?”

Elsewhere, when asked about what dish what would make if she were competing, she said: “We grow a lot of carrots in our garden. My kids love growing them.
“I would take the tops and probably do a great pesto.”

Meghan received a surprise video call from her husband while filming the latest episode of MasterChef Australia.
He asked while on FaceTime to his wife: “Have I interrupted something important?,” to which Meghan replied: “My husband’s here!”
Meghan revealed that Harry was in Canberra, where the couple were during their trip to Austarlia in April.
She also said when he hang up: “He’s a charmer, isn’t he?”
