What Is Angel and the Badman About?
The story begins with Quirt Evans badly wounded after a life of violence. When he reaches a ranch, he expects little more than a place to die. Penny, however, chooses to help him.
Her compassion gives Quirt a glimpse of a life that does not revolve around guns, bloodshed, and running from the law. That possibility becomes increasingly difficult to ignore as he grows closer to Penny.
His past, however, is still waiting for him.
The marshal is closing in, while an outlaw gang threatens to burn the ranch to the ground. Quirt must ultimately decide whether he will return to the violent world he knows or take a different path when the people around him are placed in danger.
The 2026 film is a remake of the 1947 Western of the same name, which starred John Wayne and Gail Russell.
