Meghan Markle’s Hollywood comeback has been surrounded by speculation since she stepped away from acting — but one of the most striking comments about her career has now come from the man who once helped guide it.

Ari Emanuel, executive chairman of WME Group, represented Meghan after she joined the agency in 2023.

But when The Sunday Times asked him about Meghan following WME’s decision to part ways with her, his response was remarkably brief.

“Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

The pointed remark has drawn fresh attention to Meghan’s relationship with Hollywood as speculation continues over whether she could eventually return to acting.

MEGHAN’S HOLLYWOOD CHAPTER

Meghan was already an established actress when her relationship with Prince Harry transformed her career.

She was best known for playing Rachel Zane in the US legal drama Suits, before announcing in 2017, following her engagement to Harry, that she was stepping away from acting as she prepared to join the Royal Family.

Years later, Meghan began rebuilding her Hollywood connections.

She signed with WME in 2023, with the agency representing her across entertainment and other commercial opportunities.

That relationship ultimately came to an end in 2025.

REPORTS OF TENSIONS WITH WME

The circumstances surrounding the split have been the subject of conflicting reports.

Following reports that WME had dropped Meghan, unnamed insiders claimed she had been “too demanding” and “difficult to work with.”

Page Six separately reported that tensions had reached a boiling point in January 2024.

According to a source cited by the publication, Meghan allegedly had an “outburst”, requested a meeting and expected “decks and plans” outlining her future career.

Another insider later claimed: “Ari was done with her.”

A second source reportedly backed up that account.

Neither those descriptions nor the claims about Meghan’s alleged behaviour have been independently established.

ARI EMANUEL’S RESPONSE

Against that backdrop, Emanuel’s latest comment has attracted attention because of how little he said.

Asked about Meghan’s career after WME’s decision to part ways with her, he did not discuss potential projects, her acting ambitions or a possible return to Hollywood.

Instead, he replied:

“Here’s the great thing: I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

The remark has inevitably been interpreted as a sign that the relationship between Meghan and her former agency did not end warmly, although Emanuel did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding their split.

COULD MEGHAN RETURN TO ACTING?

There have been repeated reports that Meghan is interested in returning to acting.

However, there is currently no confirmation that she has secured an acting role.

That leaves her Hollywood future particularly uncertain.

Meghan has already returned to the entertainment world in other ways, including producing projects and developing her lifestyle brand, but acting would represent a very different kind of comeback.

Her previous career remains closely associated with Suits, which became an unexpected streaming success years after Meghan had left the show.

Now, almost a decade after she walked away from acting, attention is once again turning towards the possibility of seeing her back on screen.

But until a role is officially confirmed, the comeback remains speculation.
