Netflix fans have wasted no time diving into the final chapter of Outer Banks, with some viewers admitting they stayed awake until 3am to finish all ten episodes of the hit teen drama’s fifth and final season.
Starring Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss and Rudy Pankow, the Netflix series first premiered in 2020. It follows the Pogues, a close-knit group of teenagers from North Carolina who become caught up in a dangerous hunt for lost treasure.

Why isn’t there going to be an Outer Banks season 6?
Fans hoping for another season will be disappointed. Outer Banks is officially ending with season five.
The decision was confirmed in November 2024. Co-creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke explained that they had always envisioned the series as a five-season story built around mystery, adventure, treasure hunting and friendship.
That means the ten episodes in season five serve as the final chapter for the Pogues and their long-running quest.
