Meghan Markle is reportedly feeling “terrified” ahead of her visit to the UK next week. The 44-year-old is travelling to the UK with her family, with Prince Harry’s attendance at the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games known to be the primary reason for their visit.
The couple are also going to be joined by their children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet. An insider has now revealed exactly how Meghan is feeling just days before the trip.
They told the Daily Examiner: “[Meghan] doesn’t trust the palace one bit. In her mind, they’ve spent years spreading poisonous rumors about her, so she’s finding it very hard to believe anyone’s suddenly had a change of heart.”
The insider also added: “Meghan’s trying to be strong because she knows how much this trip means to Harry.
“But she’s admitted that she’s terrified they’re walking into a trap.”
The insider also revealed exactly who Meghan is “suspicious” of, adding: “She’s just as suspicious of the courtiers.
“She says she knows plenty of them are on the warpath against her and Harry, just waiting for William to become king, so they’ll finally lose their status.”

The couple may also be set to spend time with King Charles, with the 77-year-old reportedly eager to reunite with his two youngest grandchildren.
The insider added: “[Harry] keeps telling her she’s expecting the worst and insists his father genuinely wants to see them, but that’s not doing a whole lot to ease her fears.”
The King has reportedly also offered his youngest son and family a royal residence to stay in during the visit. It is unknown if the Sussexes have accepted the offer or not.
