Prince William And Harry’s Royal Reunion Is Quietly Ruled Out — Lady Amelia Windsor Invites Just One Brother To Her Wedding

Prince William and Prince Harry could have been heading for their most awkward family reunion in years — but Lady Amelia Windsor’s wedding guest list appears to have removed that possibility altogether.

Amelia, 31, is engaged to property developer Ollie Lewis and has set a date next May for their London wedding. But while the Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly received their “save the date”, Harry and Meghan Markle have been left off the list.

The move means William and Harry are unlikely to come face-to-face at a family occasion that could otherwise have marked their first meeting since King Charles’ Coronation in May 2023.

Only One Brother Gets The Invitation

Amelia, the Duke of Kent’s granddaughter and 45th in line to the throne, is understood to have carefully curated the guest list for her big day.

A source told The Sun: “Amelia has curated her guestlist for her big day and news of Harry and Meghan’s arrival in the UK came after she had drafted her list.

“She isn’t close to the couple, but maybe it’s for the best as it saves an awkward run-in between the brothers at an otherwise special day.”

The source also pointed to a striking piece of family history: Amelia was not invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018.

“Of course she was snubbed from Harry and Meghan’s wedding so she doesn’t owe them anything,” the source claimed.

Amelia has also secured an exclusive magazine deal with Hello! for photographs from the London ceremony.

The Reunion That Won’t Happen

The reported snub comes at a particularly notable moment for the Sussexes, who have recently returned to Britain with their children after years living in California.

Harry’s return has already placed him back in the orbit of the wider Royal Family, but his relationship with William remains strained.

That made Amelia’s wedding a potentially significant date in the royal calendar.

Had Harry been invited, the ceremony could have brought the brothers together at the same family gathering for the first time since the Coronation.

Instead, William and Kate are expected to attend without Harry and Meghan.

Amelia’s Big Day

Known as Mel, Amelia is the daughter of the Earl and Countess of St Andrews and has built a public profile through fashion and environmental work. She has modelled for Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana and was recently seen enjoying Notting Hill Carnival.

She has previously described her perfect night out as involving paloma tequila cocktails on a London rooftop before heading out dancing, suggesting her wedding celebration could be far from a quiet royal affair.

But behind the glamour, there is an unmistakable family backdrop.

Amelia lost her grandmother, the Duchess of Kent, last year at the age of 92. Her funeral was held as a private Catholic Requiem Mass at Westminster Cathedral, a historic first for a senior royal, and was attended by King Charles, William and Kate and other senior members of the family.

Now, as Amelia prepares for her own wedding, one of the most closely watched royal absences could be decided before the big day has even arrived.
