Keith Urban reportedly hoped to repair his marriage to Nicole Kidman after their reported split, but a new report claims the Oscar winner had already decided there was no turning back.
According to OK! Magazine, an unnamed source said the 58 year old country singer was eager to reconcile with Kidman after she allegedly filed for divorce following 19 years of marriage. However, the insider claimed the actress made it clear that their relationship was over.
“Keith absolutely wanted Nicole back,” the source reportedly said. “He believed they could work through their problems.”
Nicole Kidman reportedly ended the marriage
The report claims Kidman, 59, was the one who filed for divorce after the couple had reportedly been dealing with ongoing issues for some time.
Among the alleged problems were claims that Urban once sang another woman’s name in a song originally written for Kidman. The outlet also reported that the pair had already been living increasingly separate lives before the reported divorce filing.
Despite that, the insider claimed Urban still believed they could fix their marriage, while Kidman had already moved on emotionally.
According to the source, the actress made it clear that “the marriage was over” and is now focused on maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughters.
Both have reportedly moved forward
The report also claims Urban has since moved on, with rumors linking him to 26 year old rising country singer Karley Scott Collins.
As for Kidman, there has been no confirmation that she is in a new relationship. However, she was recently photographed speaking with private equity investor Michael Reinstein on a hotel balcony in Portofino, Italy earlier this month.
According to the insider, romance is currently not Kidman’s priority, with her attention centered on co-parenting daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
The report further claims Kidman spends 306 days each year with the girls, while Urban reportedly sees them every other weekend, an arrangement the source described as working well for the family.

Report says the daughters have sided with Nicole
Earlier reports also suggested the couple’s daughters have largely aligned themselves with their mother during the reported separation.
One source claimed Urban felt hurt after Sunday Rose attended the Met Gala with Kidman in May, believing he had missed an important milestone.
“I know that the Met Gala scene was very hurtful,” the insider reportedly said. “It was a public statement for Sunday. She’s definitely on her mom’s side. This public appearance is 100% a message of who she’s chosen.”
The same source alleged that Faith Margaret has shown similar support for her mother, adding that Urban reportedly feels “disrespected and cast aside” by his daughters.
Separate reports have also claimed that both girls unfollowed their father on social media and are refusing to meet his rumored girlfriend. A family friend allegedly told celebrity reporter Rob Shuter that the sisters are focused on helping their mother through the transition.
“The girls are really focused on mom right now,” the source reportedly said. “They’re adjusting to all the changes, and it’s natural they want to protect their space.”
Neither Keith Urban nor Nicole Kidman has publicly confirmed the reported divorce, reconciliation claims, or the other allegations mentioned in these reports.
