After becoming one of the biggest champions in Jeopardy! history with an incredible 31-game winning streak and nearly $900,000 in winnings, Jamie Ding is stepping into a completely different spotlight.

“Jeopardy!” super champion Jamie Ding will bring his vast knowledge back to television this week as he competes on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

Ding, a former Metro Detroiter who spent six weeks on the famous quiz show earlier this year, will team up with Hollywood actor Ben Affleck on “Millionaire’s” season premiere Wednesday night on ABC. They will work together to try to win $1 million for their chosen charities.

On the celebrity version of “Millionaire,” the contestants will get at least $25,000 for their charity so long as they get past that question of the game.

According to TV Guide, Ding and Affleck will compete on the season premiere of “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire” Wednesday, July 22, at 8 p.m. Comedian Larry David and his daughter Cazzie David will also compete.

Ding is a 2009 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School, and his parents still live in the area. In 2013, he graduated from Princeton University with a degree in molecular biology. He won a total of $885,605 on “Jeopardy!” and is expected to compete in the Tournament of Champions, which will air in early 2027.
