Fans are calling for a collaboration between country star Jelly Roll and America’s Got Talent 2025 finalist Jourdan Blue after the singer’s emotional studio cover of “Save Me” captured hearts online.
The viral clip showcases Blue performing with raw, heartfelt passion over a simple music track, proving that his talent shines just as brightly in a studio as it does on the street.
The reaction online has been overwhelming. Viewers praised his soulful delivery and vocal control, with comments like, “What a voice!!!”, “Absolutely incredible, you’re a superstar to your fans”, and “Dude, you are five stars.” Supporters also congratulated him for his Golden Buzzer moment on AGT, sending prayers and blessings for him and his family.

While this cover was performed in a studio, it builds on the momentum Blue has gained from his viral street performances in New Orleans, where he often sings on Bourbon Street, rain or shine. The street rendition of “Save Me” previously caught the attention of Jelly Roll himself, who reshared the clip on social media and wrote, “Next time I play near this guy, I’m bringing him to sing — find me this man please.”
The video racked up nearly 8 million views and sparked over 12,000 fan comments praising Blue’s “angelic” voice and Southern soul style, with some drawing comparisons to Teddy Swims and Jelly Roll.
Fans eagerly speculated about a potential duet, with one writing, “Jourdan sings with the kind of soul you can’t fake — Jelly Roll sees that, and the world does too.” If this collaboration comes to fruition, it promises to be one of the most heartfelt musical pairings of the year.

From Street Performer to AGT Finalist
Blue’s rise to fame has been anything but easy. At 16, he struggled with addiction and homelessness, bouncing between friends’ homes and even sleeping in a bathroom at his job. After several months, his grandfather stepped in, driving an hour and a half late at night to bring him home. “Even though my choices had led me there, having someone care about me taught me a lot,” Blue recalls. “He wanted to share something special with me, and it became something special for me, too.”

By 18, Blue faced a near-death overdose. “The next day, some of them came back and said, ‘Jourdan, you were dead.’ It was a miracle,” he says. That experience prompted him to quit substances cold turkey—a difficult choice, but one he describes as life-changing.
Surviving those hardships shaped his outlook on life and fatherhood. With a son just over a year old, Blue now values the present and cherishes small joys. That perspective deepened after the tragic New Year’s Day attack on Bourbon Street, where he had planned to perform but stayed home due to illness. “Looking back, it was such a God moment,” he reflects. “It made me realize that I love performing in the street, but I can’t do this forever. I want to find a safer space where I can perform in peace, share my music, and spread my message without worrying about my safety or anyone else’s.”

AGT Journey and Musical Talent
Blue first gained national attention on America’s Got Talent 2025, where he received the Golden Buzzer from Howie Mandel for his audition of “Breakeven” by The Script. Despite battling food poisoning during the Quarterfinals, he delivered a stunning performance of “Biblical” by Calum Scott, impressing both judges and viewers. He advanced to the Semifinals with “Stargazing” by Myles Smith, and in the Finals, he surprised audiences with a bold rendition of “Golden” from K-Pop Demon Hunters, demonstrating his versatility and emotional depth.
Jourdan Blue’s studio cover of “Save Me” is yet another testament to his extraordinary talent. With Jelly Roll showing interest in a potential duet, fans worldwide are watching closely, hoping this collaboration will bring the soulful street energy of Blue to the world stage.
