Luke Bryan is celebrating a major milestone as the country music star officially turns 50, and he says he’s planning a birthday party that fans would never forget.
Ahead of his big day, Bryan spoke backstage at CMA Fest, where he wrapped up the four day event with a headlining performance at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium. While discussing his upcoming birthday, the singer couldn’t resist having a little fun with his plans.
“It will be a ginormous undertaking. It’s going to be a big party,” Bryan joked.

Luke Bryan imagines the ultimate birthday celebration
Inspired by his new song, Fish Hunt Golf Drink, Bryan described what his perfect 50th birthday would include, and the list only became more outrageous as he went along.
“There will be fishing. There will be golfing. There will be climbing of trees. There will be coffee. There will be Advil. There will be IVs. There’ll be Vitamin C,” he laughed.
He then added even more adventure to the mix.
“There’s going to be golf. There’s going to be skydiving, bungee jumping. Yeah. It’s going to be a blowout.”
Whether he actually follows through on those plans remains to be seen, but Bryan made it clear he intends to celebrate the milestone in a big way.
Blake Shelton becomes the target of another joke

Bryan also couldn’t resist teasing one of his closest friends, fellow country star Blake Shelton, who recently celebrated his own 50th birthday.
With his signature sense of humor, Bryan joked, “I wear 50 a lot better than him.”
He continued the friendly rivalry by pretending Shelton wasn’t exactly at the top of his guest list.
“I’m not inviting him to my party,” Bryan laughed before adding, “I sent Shelton a save the date, but I didn’t even put the date on there.”
The playful back and forth is nothing new for the longtime friends, who have spent years exchanging jokes both on and off stage.
Back on tour soon
Bryan is currently enjoying a short break from his Word on the Street Tour, but he won’t be off the road for long.
The country star returns to touring on July 23 with a performance in Southaven, Mississippi, before continuing the tour through September 12.
Fans also have new music to look forward to, with Bryan’s upcoming album, Signs, scheduled for release on September 18.
