The East of Eden characters may have complicated love and family lives, but off-screen, many of the cast members are in long-term relationships.

The Netflix limited series — which is based on John Steinbeck’s 1952 novel of the same name and hit the streamer on Oct. 1 — stars Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames, whose choices ultimately help to tear apart the Trasks, Adam (Christopher Abbott) and Charles (Mike Faist). Off-screen, Pugh publicly confirmed her relationship with fellow actor Finn Cole earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Joseph Zada, who plays Adam and Cathy’s son Cal Trask, recently confirmed to Vanity Fair that he met his girlfriend, who is not an actress, at a bar. Additionally, Tracy Letts, who plays Adam and Charles’ father Cyrus Trask, and The Gilded Age star Carrie Coon celebrated their 13-year wedding anniversary in September.

Here’s everything to know about the real-life loves of the East of Eden cast.

The Don’t Worry Darling star and Peaky Blinders actor initially sparked dating rumors in July 2024 when they were spotted at Glastonbury Festival. In October 2024, the actress told British Vogue that she was dating someone new, but didn’t identify who at the time.

The two have since been spotted out several times, including a pizza date in New York City. In September, Pugh told Vanity Fair that she doesn’t want her relationship to be a “secret,” but she also doesn’t want “everything to be divulged.”

“The important thing is that we’re happy, and I feel solid and safe and sturdy,” she said. “And that’s worth its weight in gold in our lives.”

“When you really reflect on it like that, I got to put Dad first,” he said during an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

“It’s not that strange for me to be working with Tracy, because we’ve collaborated many times,” Coon said in a joint January 2020 interview with Chicago Magazine. “There’s never trepidation about whether or not that process will be successful, because we always enjoy each other in that capacity.”
