‘Jeopardy!’ Fans React to Ken Jennings’ Unusual Baseball Stadium Snack in South Korea
Ken Jennings surprised Jeopardy! fans with his choice of food at a baseball game in South Korea, where the longtime quiz show host traded familiar American stadium snacks for pig’s feet and sweet potato sticks.
Jennings shared photos from his visit to Jamsil Baseball Stadium on Instagram on October 14, revealing that he had attended the Doosan Bears’ final regular-season game at the venue. While fans enjoyed seeing him take in the atmosphere, it was his unexpected food choice that sparked the biggest reactions.

Ken Jennings Says Goodbye to Jamsil Baseball Stadium
In his Instagram caption, Jennings reflected on the significance of the game and his history with Korean baseball.
“We were at the Doosan Bears’ final regular-season game ever at Jamsil Baseball Stadium this week. It’s been so long since I saw a KBO game that they were still the OB Bears last time I saw them play,” he wrote.
He also expressed sadness about the stadium’s impending closure and the Bears’ defeat, while noting that he and his companions had learned plenty of the elaborate cheers used by supporters.
Jennings did not reveal who accompanied him to the game. However, he has previously attended baseball games with his son, Dylan, and may have been joined by a family member on this occasion.

His Instagram post included a selfie from the stands, followed by a picture of the Bears’ mascot posing with enthusiastic fans.
The visit was part of Jennings’ trip to South Korea, where he also revisited his childhood home and explored popular landmarks, libraries and other locations. Jamsil Baseball Stadium is scheduled to be demolished this winter, making the game a particularly notable occasion for fans of the venue.
His Choice of Stadium Food Leaves Fans Divided
Although the photos offered a glimpse of Jennings’ experience at the game, the final image quickly became the main talking point.
“And tried out my new go-to stadium food: pig’s feet and sweet potato sticks,” he wrote.
The picture showed the two foods arranged on a blue table in front of him as he watched the game. The spread was a departure from the snacks commonly associated with American baseball stadiums, where hot dogs, chicken tenders, French fries, soft pretzels, nachos, burgers and drinks are familiar options.
Jennings’ selection prompted a mixture of surprise, amusement and disgust from fans who were less enthusiastic about the idea of eating pig’s feet.
“Sweet potato sticks – yes. Pigs’ feet – hard pass,” one person commented, adding, “I’m not adventurous enough.”
Another reacted with disbelief, writing, “Pig’s feet, Ken? WOW!”
Others were more impressed by the food culture surrounding Korean baseball. “The food option at KBO stadiums is on another level for sho!!” one fan wrote.
Not everyone was convinced, however. One viewer admitted to struggling with the thought of the unusual snack, while others responded with a simple “yumm” or encouraged fellow fans not to dismiss the dish before trying it.
Fans Have Mixed Reactions to the Unusual Snack

The responses showed just how differently fans viewed Jennings’ food choice. While some were willing to try the sweet potato sticks but drew the line at pig’s feet, others embraced the idea of exploring something unfamiliar.
Jennings, who spent part of his childhood in South Korea, may have been more comfortable with the local food than some of his American followers. His post nevertheless gave fans an unexpected glimpse into his experience at a Korean baseball game.
And while the Doosan Bears’ defeat and Jamsil’s upcoming closure made the outing bittersweet, it was Jennings’ unconventional snack that ultimately got fans talking.
