Meghan Markle calls Harry ‘a charmer’ during TV appearance
Meghan Markle has a special request regarding how people call her on the latest episode of MasterChef Australia. The Duchess of Sussex appeared in the latest episode of the cooking show on Sunday, when contestants were challenged to transform a staple ingredient into a dish “fit for a duchess”.
The episode was filmed during Meghan and Harry’s week-long trip to Australia in April. Meghan appeared alongside MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli. Her arrival on set was announced by Ms Yeow, who introduced her saying: “We’ve had royalty in the MasterChef kitchen before, but no one like this.

“All the way from sunny California, please welcome to MasterChef Australia, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.”
But when asked how she’d like to be called, the duchess said that simply “Meghan” would do.
Ms Yeow asked: “Welcome. Do I call you Duchess?”
The duchess replied with a four-word remark: “Oh, call me Meghan. Absolutely, yeah.”
During Sunday’s episode, the duchess praised contestant Aaron Kher’s dish but joked it packed “too much” spice for Harry, who greeted the Australian group with a “G’Day”.
“He’s a charmer, isn’t he?” she said after the phone call ended.
