The series centres on Tobias Wallace, played by Weaving, an airport chaplain and self-appointed fixer who believes there is almost no problem he cannot solve.

Tobias takes an unconventional approach to the daily crises unfolding inside a busy international airport. That changes when he meets his new boss, Mira Ansari-Cole, played by Shabana Azeez, who sees his interference as more of a liability than a solution.

Their clash develops into a power struggle that affects workers and passengers throughout the terminal, while the series explores the unexpected connections formed between people passing through the airport.

Azeez, who is also known for The Pitt, stars opposite Weaving as Mira. The wider cast includes Claudia Karvan, Erroll Shand and Thomas Weatherall.
