“Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black” returns to Netflix for Season 3 on August 27, and in the just-released trailer, Kimmie Bellarie has an important reminder for anyone who forgot: “I’m still Kimmie, motherf***er!”

Picking up immediately after the events of Season 2, the head honchos of the Bellarie family are facing serious prison time in Season 3, following Kimmie and Mallory’s perfectly executed finale ambush. And as the interrogations begin, the Bellaries begin to turn on one another, with Olivia threatening to go “nuclear” if need be. (Judging from what we’ve seen from Olivia so far, we can’t even fathom what her version of “nuclear” entails.)

Beauty in Black was un-canceled, renewed for Season 4

Whatever happens to Kimmie and the Bellaries in Season 3 of “Beauty in Black,” just know that it isn’t the end of their story. Netflix announced in December 2025 that Season 3 would be the Tyler Perry drama’s last, but the streamer apparently had a change of heart since then, because it was announced in July 2026 that a fourth season has been ordered after all.

In conjunction with the show’s renewal, Perry released a statement to the show’s grateful fans: “‘Beauty in Black’ is back for Season 4 and the Bellarie family’s story is far from finished. There was so much more I wanted to explore and I’m grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!”
