What is The Whisper Man about?
The story follows Tom Kennedy (Adam Scott), a widowed crime writer whose eight-year-old son, Jake, is abducted.
Determined to bring his son home, Tom seeks help from his estranged father, Pete Willis (Robert De Niro). A retired detective, Pete once played a key role in capturing a notorious serial killer known as the Whisper Man.
The case takes a disturbing turn when another child goes missing and a frightening playground rhyme associated with the killer begins circulating again. Tom and Pete soon realize that Jake’s disappearance could be connected to the decades-old investigation.
For Pete, that means confronting a case he believed was long behind him and reopening an investigation that may hold the key to finding his grandson.
