Harlan Coben’s 8-Episode Netflix Thriller Breaks Into the Streamer’s Top 10
Harlan Coben’s latest Netflix thriller, I Will Find You, has reached another major milestone. After becoming Netflix’s most-watched show of the year, the eight-episode series has now climbed to No. 8 on the streamer’s all-time list of most-watched English-language shows.
The achievement further highlights Coben’s remarkable run on Netflix. Although I Will Find You has received only mixed reviews from critics, its strong audience numbers have continued to push it higher on the platform’s rankings.
I Will Find You Continues Its Rise
Coben has become one of Netflix’s most dependable creators since the mystery author signed a deal with the streaming service to adapt his books for television. The partnership has produced more than a dozen successful miniseries thrillers, giving Coben more Netflix shows than any other creative working under a deal with the platform.
His latest series has followed the same pattern. Critics were relatively divided on I Will Find You, which currently holds a 59% score on Rotten Tomatoes. One assessment described it as an average Coben adaptation that tests its cast while relying on a formula designed to deliver easy entertainment.
Viewers were somewhat more receptive, awarding the series a 64% audience score. As with many of Coben’s stories, the numerous twists have been a major part of its appeal.
The biggest indicator of the show’s success, however, has been its performance on Netflix.
I Will Find You has accumulated 112.9 million views, making it one of the most-watched English-language series in Netflix history. It also had the year’s most-watched series premiere before continuing to attract viewers in the weeks that followed.
The thriller centers on a father fighting for much more than simply his freedom, and its momentum has allowed it to steadily climb Netflix’s all-time rankings.
A few weeks ago, the series entered the platform’s elite Top 10. It subsequently moved past Bridgerton Season 3 and has now surpassed The Queen’s Gambit to claim the No. 8 spot.
Its climb may not be finished yet. I Will Find You needs just over 400,000 additional views to move ahead of the first season of Bridgerton.
Another Harlan Coben Thriller Is Already in Production
While I Will Find You continues its climb, Netflix is already preparing its next project set within Coben’s expanding collection of mystery adaptations.
The upcoming series is tentatively titled Myron Bolitar, based on Coben’s longest-running mystery series. Production is already underway, with Colin Woodell, KJ Apa, and Diane Guerrero cast in the lead roles.
Coben fans also have more adaptations to look forward to. A UK version of The Woods is in development, while Season 2 of Coben’s CBS true-crime series The Final Twist is also on the way.
For now, all eight episodes of I Will Find You are available to stream globally on Netflix.
