What is Person of Interest about?
The story follows John Reese, played by Jim Caviezel, a former Special Forces soldier and CIA operative who is presumed dead.
Living as a drifter in New York City, Reese is approached by Harold Finch, played by Michael Emerson. Finch is a reclusive billionaire and software genius who created an advanced computer system known as the Machine for the US government in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks.
The Machine is capable of identifying people connected to potential threats. Finch and Reese, however, are given remarkably little information to work with. The Machine provides them with social security numbers belonging to people it considers “of interest.”
Their task is to determine what those people are involved in and, when possible, prevent a crime before it happens.
