Megyn Kelly Backs Martha Stewart in Dispute Over Meghan Markle’s Highgrove Visit

Martha Stewart’s account of a recent dinner involving Meghan Markle has received fresh support from American journalist Megyn Kelly, who rejected the suggestion that the lifestyle mogul had been mistaken about what she heard at the gathering.
The disagreement centres on claims that Meghan discussed details of her recent visit to King Charles at his Highgrove estate while attending a dinner party in California.
According to the original report, Prince Harry was said to have agreed with his father that neither of them would discuss the visit publicly or release photographs from the occasion.
However, a source close to Meghan strongly disputed Stewart’s version of events, insisting that the two women were not seated close enough for Stewart to have heard the conversation she described.
Megyn Kelly defends Martha Stewart

Speaking on a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly came out in support of Stewart and dismissed the suggestion that she had simply misunderstood what happened.
“Martha doesn’t spew s***,” Kelly claimed. “She gives it straight.”
Addressing Meghan’s camp suggesting Stewart had been “confused”, Kelly added: “She’s as sharp as a tack.”
The comments follow Stewart’s account of the dinner, which she discussed with People magazine earlier this month.
“I had dinner with Meghan Markle the other night. We were both guests at a dinner party in California. And she had just gotten back from the palace,” Stewart said.
She explained that she had spoken to Meghan only briefly during the evening.
“I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple of words, but I know she was talking about it,” Stewart added.
Meghan’s camp disputes the account

Meghan’s representatives offered a notably different description of what happened at the gathering.
According to an insider who spoke to the Mirror, Meghan was asked by another guest about her European holiday and gave only a brief response.
“Meghan was asked by someone else about her European vacation and said it was nice, and that was the extent of it. I think she must have been confused,” the source said.
The source also maintained that Stewart and Meghan were not seated near one another during the evening, further challenging Stewart’s account.
Despite the disagreement, the source was keen to stress that Meghan continues to regard Stewart as someone she admires.
Martha Stewart weighs in on Meghan’s lifestyle ambitions
Stewart has also commented more broadly on Meghan’s move into lifestyle and homemaking content following the launch of her cooking programme, With Love, Meghan.
Discussing the transition, Stewart remarked: “If you’re an actress, it’s hard to then transition to a princess and then from a princess into a homemaking guru on a television show. It doesn’t sort of follow. So go from there.”
Stewart previously addressed the importance of knowledge and expertise in a Yahoo Lifestyle interview.
“Authenticity, to me, is everything, and to be authentic and knowledgeable about your subject matter is extremely important,” she said, while also making clear that she did not object to the idea of successors.
For now, the conflicting accounts over the California dinner remain unresolved, with Stewart maintaining that Meghan was discussing her recent royal visit and Meghan’s camp insisting that the conversation was limited to a brief response about her European holiday.
